Why Home buttons in phones are not coming !

Average person spends more than 3 hours a day looking at their phone. Sound like that's more than a month and half with all that time staring at it.
You might have noticed your new phone is missing a button too. It's not your imagination the home button is disappearing and it might not be the only one.Smartphones have been sharing buttons for years. So it's no big surprise companies like HTC and Samsung are trying to do without. Don't believe me. Take a look at blackberry electron first smartphone to take off in a big way tremble before it's whole keyboard and dedicated call and hang up buttons. Since the screen was so small it couldn't show every function what we want Instead of touch screen many other models used arrow keys and tiny track ball.
Early Android phones were similar in looking in most features dedicated call, back and home buttons just like the blackberry.
But all that changed in 2007. When Apple released the iPhone. As hard as it is to believe not many people took the iPhones seriously first. Even Apple founders Steve Jobs was not 100% on board with his new product. It is only a matter of time before people realised strength of iPhone. Getting rid of the keyboard allow the screen more than double in size was handy because your favorite app was not more than a click away.
The main buttons stuck around for few years. But it didn't take long for call and back buttons to disappear. There was no need of back and menu button. It only left with home button.Lot of people liked the home button. in fact it used to be the reason that many customers preferred Apple than Android.Unfortunately companies couldn't resist the home button space. Removing the home key also makes the surface smoother.
Well power and volume buttons might be next.

HTC U12 replaces it's button with touch sensors and Samsung galaxy note 10 got rid of off the power button completely yet you can change the setting so that power button works as the search button.
Few customers found buttonless buttons difficult to use.
Problems with button less phones.
Most people don't like them.
Without physical feedback it is difficult to check whether you pushed the button right.
This is what people talk about when they see haptic feedback. Many devices vibrate that simulates pressing the real button but that's not the same thing.
Smart scroll was the feature in Samsung S4 it allows your phone to scroll up and down automatically. It works by using the phone face camera with the moment of your head. But sometimes you have to move your head very fast to get it working. Too many customers lost their patience thought this was unnecessary feature. The same future like smart view which allows to check notification without having to touch touchscreen by hovering your fingers over the screen.
Samsung galaxy beam only came with built-in projector.
That cost more than other Samsung phone at the time. Only problem with phone was that it drained the battery too quickly. That discouraged the people using the signature feature.
Motorola tried something similar with Motomart attachment. The black berry storm it was Blackberry first touchscreen phone and the company knew they need to build something big to stand out from the crowd. So they put real feel sound of clicking buttons. Mimic the sound of real keyboard.
Earlier what I talked "Hepatic feedback".
Do you think that the flat surfaces are the future OR phones with home buttons are the home?
