Hi, All as we know Sony is one of the biggest giant in electronic market especially in its consumer electronic market smartphone, camera, laptop, earphone and what not.
Sony is basically famous for it's Walkman, Bravia TV, PlayStation consoles and Vaio laptops and mobile as well.
But this time Sony has stunned the audience with its new segment which is an electric car.
People were looking for next console of Sony but what they saw was a complete new product with a new segment.
Company has come up with the concept car named Sony vision S. This is really a surprise from the company like Sony. Sony vision is basically an electric sedan car.
Sony vision s is using the sensing and artificial intelligence technology of Sony. Sony vision S has 33 sensors which can detect any object or any person in an around car.Car is a future concept for automatic driving.
Sony has used some of the electronic technology from the companies like Bosch and BlackBerry.Electric car platform comes from the Magna which is an automotive supplier.
Car has multiple widescreen displays.Car is powered by a pair of 272hp electric motors. These give it a 0-100kph time of 4.8sec, with a top speed of 240kph.
So no doubt for entertainment purple Sony must equipped very high audio system.
Sony has developed this car by its own they have done this with different partners, so it is unclear as of now weather Sony will it own this car OR this is just to show and convince other manufacturer to buy the products from Sony in future.
The outside of the vehicle has some strong Porsche vibes, especially around the headlights, and in side profile it somewhat resembles the Lucid Motors Air.
Inside, the Vision-S features a dashboard-spanning screen much like the one that Chinese EV startup Byton is putting in its cars, with screens for rear-seat passengers in the headrests.
“This prototype embodies our contribution to the future of mobility,” Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said.
We see lots of electronic equipment suppliers in automotive sector just like OEM manufacturer the electronic market is growing bigger day by day. Sony is one of electronic equipment companies and this time it has built its own electric car perhaps to show off what it can do with its own technology.
Well there are lot of companies those have already built electric and concept cars like BMW, Mercedes, Tesla, Honda etc. So do you think companies like Sony which is not in the segment of automotive can Win ?
If we talk about its looks it has mixer of Porsche taycan and Lucid air. Where dashboard of Sony vision S "which is equipped with high-end infotainment" reminds us of Honda E and Bytan M byte.
The aim of Sony vision s is Driver relieved from car operation. Sony says its sensor systems work in tandem to deliver ‘early and accurate object recognition’ even in low visibility conditions such as fog or night driving.
Most of the functions can be controlled via smartphone. And every seat has dedicated speaker facility for entertainment.
